We had a very long but very enjoyable day out with Bogdan who was the perfect guide. The communication about the trip was excellent and our trip was adjusted to fit in with what we wanted to focus on. We all loved Bran Castle and had a brief stop at Cantacuzino Castle (Netflix "Wednesday" series was filmed there) to break the long drive from Bucharest. We then went onto Brasov Old Town where Bogdan took us to a wonderful restaurant for lunch. Brasov was absolutely stunning and we wish we had planned a night in Transylvania so we had more time to enjoy the town plus see some more of this beautiful part of the country. We would recommend Book Tours Romania and also Transylvania!

We had a fantastic time with our guide Ovidiu. His detail and story telling really helped us understand the history of Bucharest and Romania. On day 2, we took a private family trip to Pitesti and because of his research was able to find evidence of a relative in the city. Ovidiu’s stories were great and he is adventurous, willing to do what was needed for us to enjoy the tours. Highly recommended !

We had an amazing 3 day private tour of Romania. From the time of first booking online to the end of the tour everything was first class. Communication was excellent. Knowledge was excellent. Value was excellent. We stayed in lovely hotels, one being a heritage inn built in 1609. The tour was far superior to any organised tour with larger groups. It was great to have that personal attention from a very knowledgeable and competent guide. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I can't say enough about our tour guide, Bogdan Savulescu, from Book Tours Romania! We enjoyed a 10 day private tour with our family (2 grandparents, 2 parents, 2 teenagers). It was the most relaxing trip in Europe I've ever experienced. Bogdan had so much great history and legends about everywhere we visited and I never had to figure out where we were going to eat or worry about the hotel. He picked us up from the airport and dropped us back off at the end of our trip. He took us on incredible hikes, up and down towers, and in and out of castles and churches. The accommodations he found us were amazing and special. We saw both big cities and rural villages. We thoroughly enjoyed his company throughout our trip. My husband and I were very pleased to be able to book a tour on the unlikely day of New Year's Eve! Nick took excellent care of us, providing a most fascinating overview of the history, and answering our endless questions. We very much enjoyed our visit to the beautiful Peles Castle, although for us, Bran Castle was far too touristic, with some forced exhibits to tie in with Dracula and the occult. Yet it still seemed a must to visit that castle just the same, and the area around Bran Castle was fascinating, with many stands selling delicious traditional Romanian snacks such as Sorici. We had a wonderful lunch in lovely Brasov where we discovered the Romanian desert Papanasi. Many thanks again to Nick for his excellent driving, his dedication and enthusiasm, and all of his tips, including his favourite writers!
