I got a speeding tix 72/55 in some little town upstate NY. This is the way those little towns MAKE MONEY. It would have been 4 points on my license, and my ins would have gone up 25% for 39months. I received a 6 point speeding ticket on the NYS Thruway in Yonkers and decided that I needed an attorney to contest it. I came across the Justia Law Directory in Google and reviewed the websites of the various Attorneys listed. The website for Joseph Villanueva stood out for its straightforward informative content in an FAQ format. I called that office and was forwarded by the administrator to a voice message. Joseph returned my call within minutes and he immediately struck me as very knowledgeable and reasonable as far as fees. His office then emailed me several forms to sign and return. I had questions about one of the affidavits and Joseph again immediately returned my call to fully explain it. The office kept me up to date on their interactions with the Court, immediately letting them know that they were representing me. They told me the process might take several weeks to months. But within six days of the getting the ticket I received an email from Joseph that he had resolved my case to a no points parking violation with a modicum fine of $250. His office then sent me the verification to this effect with payment instructions which I was able to complete online directly with the Court within minutes by credit card. Case closed and big relief for me. Very grateful to Mr Villanueva and his firm.
